Step 1
– Open
your favorite browser, type blogger
and Search.
You
can use any browser like Mozilla (Firefox), Chrome, Safari. I am using
Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer.
Step 3 – This is Blogger Home Page. Click on Sign In button at the top right corner
to continue to Blogger.

Step 4 – Enter your e-mail ID and password. After that click
on Sign In button to continue to

Step 5 – Now click on the Theme option, given at left side.

There you can see lot of different theme / templates are given by
Blogger, like Soho, Dynamic Views, Simple, Contempo, Picture Window, Emporio, Awesome INC. etc

You
can choose one of them and click on Apply.
But our article is about to Change or Upload your own theme to your Website /
blog.
The theme you want to use on your website or to upload must be in .xml format. In my case, I given
name "My theme.xml"
Step 6 – So to upload / change theme, click on Backup / Restore button, at the top
left corner.

In
pop-up window, you will see options like Download
your existing theme.
Below
that Choose file and Upload.
So just click on Choose File.

Step 7 – In new pop-up window, they will ask you to select
your file from your storage.
Simply
locate your file, where you stored and select
it. Then Click on Open button. I usually stored file on my desktop, which I want to upload.

After selecting the .xml file , click on Upload button.

After
uploading finished, you will get message Uploaded
Successfully.
Step 8 – It’s time to see your newly Inserted Theme /
template live on your Website. For that, click on View Blog button.

There it is, you successfully inserted Theme / template live
on your free Website.
